BOOK DAY CELEBRATION

World Book Day is celebrated every year on April 23. UNESCO undertakes the responsibility of the event. With the help of the event, UNESCO aims to inculcate reading habits among people, especially the youth and highlight the various issues surrounding authors, publishers and other related parties. Since Copyright is a big issue in the world of books and writing, there is always a focus on the issue on the World Book Day. That's why, in many parts of the world, this day is also known as the World Book and Copyright Day. 

The first ever World Book Day was celebrated on April 23, 1995. The date as decided by UNESCO as it was also the death and birth anniversary of William Shakespeare, a world famous author. The date also coincided with the death anniversary of Miguel de Cervantes, who was a noted Spanish author. Some other well known authors whose birth or death anniversary falls on this day are Maurice Druon, Josep Pla and Halldor Laxness.

Students of class IV A Primus celebrated this day by  watching the "Ramayana" in the class. Thereafter, students shared information about their favourite character from the Ramayana and what is the influence of the character in their lives.

April Month Activity - Just a Minute

Just a Minute -April Month Activity was conducted in the school on 27 April 2018 for the students of Class IV A Primus to enrich their kinaesthetic, spatial and observation skills.Students of each house was given a task to perform individually within a minute. 

Winners from each house was selected on the basis of points gained by completing the given task.

Earth Day Celebration

World Earth Day is celebrated every year as an annual event by the people all across the world on 22nd of April in order to increase the awareness among people about the environment safety as well as to demonstrate the environmental protection measures. First time, the world earth day was celebrated in the year 1970 and then started celebrating annually on global basis by almost 192 countries.
