August month Interhouse Activity

An interhouse activity was conducted for the month of August in class IV-A . The theme was ‘Beyond the classroom’. Students were taken to the Science park to enrich their knowledge outside the classroom. Later they were asked to express their learning on a sheet.They enjoyed learning about reflection















, path of sound , weights and lever etc.

National Sports Day


National Sports Day 2019: India celebrates the Day today, 29 August, to mark the birth anniversary of the legendary hockey player Major Dhyan Chand, who was born on August 29, 1905. The National Sports Day is also known as the Rashtriya Khel Divas. On this Day, President Ram Nath Kovind confers the National Sports AwardsNational Adventure AwardsArjuna Award, Khel Ratna, Dronacharya Award and Dhyanchand Award to recognise the exceptional achievements of Indian sportspersons.
The National Sports Day is observed every year to spread awareness about the importance of sports and games in the life of every individual.  The Day remembers the national sports personality Dhyan Chand who was one of the greatest field hockey players of all time. Famously known as “The Wizard”, he displayed superb ball control and extraordinary goal-scoring feats.



Class 5 -Maths Activity

An activity for placing the integers on the number line was conducted in class 5-A. Students were divided into groups, each group member was given a number card.They were asked to arrange themselves on a number line.Also, the concept of comparing negative numbers was introduced through the number line, where the students easily concluded  positive numbers to be greater than the negative numbers

Janamashtami celebrations

Janmashtami, the birthday of Lord Krishna is celebrated with great devotion and enthusiasm in India in the month of July or August. According to the Hindu calendar this religious festival is celebrated on the Ashtami of Krishna Paksh or the 8th day of the dark fortnight in the month of Bhadon.The actual celebration of Janmashtami takes place during the midnight as Sri Krishna is believed to be borned on a dark, stormy and windy night to end the rule and violence of his uncle, Kansa. All over India this day is celebrated with devotional songs and dances, pujas, arti, blowing of the Conch and rocking the cradle of baby Sri Krishna.

Class 5 -maths activity

 Find my bond-activity was conducted in class 5-A , where the students were divided into two groups. Each student had a decimal number slip. They were suppose to find their  bond that added up to 10. They learnt addition of decimal numbers  using number bonds
