Rakhsha Bandhan and Janamashtami celebration

Raksha Bandhan is a celebration of the abiding and immaculate bond of love between brother and sister. ,  Students of class VA celebrated this festival with their friends on 21 August, 2021. The students explained the significance of the festival through PPT and shared stories behind celebrating Rakhsha Bandhan. Students also shared significance of "Vrikshabandhan" the bond between human and trees.Along with this the students celebrated Lord Krishna’s birthday with gaiety and splendour. The programme began with singing and dancing performances by students followed by a small play on Lord Krishna’s life. All the students were dressed in the traditional costumes of Lord Krishna and Radha. It was a great moment of togetherness and communal harmony and everybody enjoyed both the activities together.

The event was celebrated with full enthusiasm and zeal. We believe that such celebrations of festivals with true spirit teach students about our Indian traditions. The Principal of the school  Ms Rashmi Raj Biswal  and the Cambridge coordinator Ms Jyotsna Kumar appreciated the work and enthusiasm of the students.
