Laddoo is all time favourite sweet of all of us. It's an integral sweet of our indian culture. Today in health and nutrition club, we made COCONUT LADDOOs. Students were allotted one ingredient per class. Following ingredients were used- Grated/desiccated coconut, khoya, finely diced dry fruits, shakkar/khaand/jaggery. Through a collaborative effort, students made coconut laddoo. Small portion of ladoo dough was given to students to give them a shape of their choice. To maintain nutrition level, instead of sugar we used shakkar/khaand or jaggery. It helps to maintain our blood pressure and purifies our blood. Laddoo were delicious and students presented them in different forms such as modak, kaju roll, snow man, barfi etc.

The day that recognizes the essence of a mother was celebrated in high spirits and merriment. This being one of those occasions that none of us can afford to miss was zealously enjoyed by one and all. The children irrespective of nationalities, castes, cultures and genders have emotions binding them to their mothers.
Keeping this bonding emotion in mind, the Cambridge wing of DAVPS Pushpanjali enclave had a special celebration on mother’s day on 6 May 2023. The happy and excited mothers took part in the various games & competitions like memory game , vocab bingo , impromptu round.All events were organised by different subject departments . All the mothers were very happy to participate in the competitions. Winner mothers of various competitions were awarded by the Principal ma’am Rashmi Biswal and Cambridge coordinator Ms Jyotsna kumar.
Buddha Purnima also known as Vesak, is a major Buddhist festival that is celebrated worldwide to mark the birth anniversary of Gautama Buddha, the founder of Buddhism. It is observed on the full moon day of the Hindu month of Vaisakha, which falls in April or May. It will be celebrated on May 5, this year with great enthusiasm. The day is celebrated with great devotion and joy by Buddhists all over the world who participate in various religious ceremonies and rituals. It is a time for reflection, meditation, and compassion, and a reminder of the teachings of Buddha that promote peace, harmony, and goodwill towards all beings.
To energize ones spiritual and intellectual conscience, Hawan ceremony was performed at DAVPS Cambridge wing on 4May 2023. Hawan was organised to mark the inauguration of the new academic session 2023-24 and to seek the prime blessings of the Almighty. Principal ma’am Ms Rashmi Biswal,Cambridge wing coordinator Ms Jyotsna Kumar and all the teachers marked their presence on this auspicious day. ‘Aahutis’ were put in the Havan Kund while chanting the sacred mantras. Chanting of mantras and offerings to sacred fire created revitalising and rejuvenating effect for both the body and mind and paved the way for further success.
Religious hymns sung by all the staff members created the ambiance of spirituality in the school. All prayed the God for the smooth functioning of the school in the new academic session. Hence, the Havan ceremony was performed religiously under the divine fervour and spirituality. Prasad was also distributed at the end.
