National Sports Day


National Sports Day 2020: It is celebrated on 29 August every year across the country. The day raises awareness about physical activity, sports, and overall health. It is celebrated to mark the birthday of Major Dhyan Chand who won various Gold medals for India.

The National Sports Day which is also known as the Rashtriya Khel Divas was first inducted into the long list of celebratory days in 2012. Ever since then it has been the centre of attraction for ardent sports lovers of the country.As we all know that sports develop a sense of friendliness and team spirit. It helps to develop physical toughness and mental health. It shapes the body, makes it strong and active.

Ganesh Chaturthi wishes and Activity in Class VA

Geometrical Ganesha Activity was conducted in class 5A ,where students were guided to make Lord Ganesha using various 2 D shapes .They also explained parallel and perpendicular lines in the shapes.

Ganesh Chaturthi, also called Vinayaka Chavithi, is an auspicious Hindu festival which is celebrated for 10 days every year. The festival is celebrated in the Bhadra month as per the Hindu calendar which generally falls in mid-August to September. It marks the birthday of the beloved elephant-headed Lord Ganesha.

Maths Shapes activity in Class IV

Activity to recognise 2D and 3D shapes was organised in class IVA where students were asked to touch or show objects which the teacher announced like any 2D shape, a cuboid shape, a Triangular shape. Students enthusiastically created the shapes with hands and ran around their room to show the shapes.

World Photography Day 2020: The day celebrates the art, craft, science, and history of photography. No doubt since the early 19th century, photography become an important part of life, an ever-increasing medium of personal expression and appreciation for countless people across the world.

Photography word literally means "drawing with light". Supposedly the word was first coined in 1839 by the British scientist Sir John Herschel from the Greek words phos (genetive: photos) means "light" and graphe means "drawing or writing".

The invention of the Daguerreotype which is a photographic process developed by Frenchmen Louis Daguerre and Joseph Nicephore Niepce in 1837. As per reports, the French Academy of Sciences announced the Daguerreotype process in 1839.

The Daguerre’s invention was named as the daguerreotype. It was an immediate success that provides a relatively inexpensive and accurate way of representing scenes and faces which previously had to be drawn or painted by hand. Within a few years, photographic studios had popped up all over Paris and indeed across the world.

Independence Day Celebration

74th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and respect at Cambridge International DAVPS, Pushpanjali Enclave by the students of Class III to VIII . The ceremony started at 4:00 PM on Gmeet on 13th August,2020 which was streamed live on youtube (Cambint youtube channel ) which was viewed by students and parents of other classes.

To begin the celebration a video of hoisting of flag by our Principal ma'am was shared on screen. Then Principal ma'am addressed the participants, parents ,teachers and hosts for the event.The guest hosts were Ms Shalini and Dr Madhu Minocha ,parent of Chaitanya Gupta and Muskaan of class VIII A respectively.

The event started by opening speech by the two talented kids Vivaan Gupta(Class IV A) and Jayant Prakash Gupta (Class III A).

Students brilliantly performed dance on patriotic songs , melodiously sang patriotic songs, recited poems on India's Independence Day and shared amazing facts about India and freedom fighters. 

The Programme concluded up with the Vote of thanks by Ms Shalini ,parent of Chaitanya of class VIII. 

Indeed, it was a day of joy, a day to love and respect our country and make it a better place for Indians to live and experience the freedom, peace and unity in diversity.
