Exit Year Ceremony Class V 2020-21

 Exit Year Ceremony was conducted in class VA Cambridge International on 25 February 2021 to celebrate learning  with the motto of Try everything.Exit Year ceremony is a review ,reflection & celebration of what students learned during the school year through reading, music, and discussion.The students reflected upon their year in class V & celebrated the accomplishments in Online classes during Pandemic. They displayed the experiences they shared together & learnt during the session 2020-21. Students  also recited Hindi poem, told parts of speech , Maths tricks ,sang French lullaby, performed Yoga asanas & Science experiment and many more exciting activities.

Basant Panchami celebration in VA

 Basant Panchmi” is an occasion which marks the advent of the spring season and is also celebrated to worship Saraswati, the Goddess of knowledge and wisdom. This day was celebrated in online class with great fervour and enthusiasm.Yellow colour – representative of spiritual knowledge, is given importance on Basant panchmi. The children of class V came dressed in yellow clothes and discussed significance of Basant Panchami.

Angles in exercise activity was conducted in class III to recapitulate the concept of Angles .Students performed few exercises with hands to show angles formed between arms.

An interactive worksheet was done to enrich knowledge of Angles.

Concept of Quadrilaterals and properties of quadrilaterals ,Line of symmetry were displayed through interactive tool. Notes were written in the notebook

Concept of Coordinates was recapitulated through interactive worksheet and questions from LB pg 164 were discussed and done in the book.

Class V

Concept of angles and angles in triangle were explained through interactive tools. Notes were written in the notebook.Questions from LB pg 175 to completed in the book.

Unit 14 - Geometry and problem solving , concept of 3 D shapes , faces , edges , vertices were recalled. 

Properties of pyramids and prism were explained through demo activity of shapes. 

Class IV

Reading angles using protractor was recalled and concept of Complimentary and supplementary angles was explained through examples. Q1 and 2 from LB pg 162 were discussed and done in the book.

Class V

Concept of 3D shapes and nets were recalled and  Parallel and perpendicular faces was explained through video and live demo.

Folding the Nets of 3 D shapes demo activity was conducted in class IV A where the teacher showed net of cuboid , various types of Prism and pyramids .
