The negative numbers number line activity proved to be an effective method for enhancing students' conceptual understanding of negative numbers. Students were provided with number cards ranging from -6 to 6. Each card was colour-coded to indicate positive (blue) and negative (pink) numbers.A large number line was displayed in the classroom, extending horizontally across the board. The number line was marked with intervals representing whole numbers and labeled with zero at the center.By actively engaging in arranging number cards on the number line, students developed a visual and spatial understanding of negative numbers relative to zero. Continued implementation of such hands-on and collaborative math activities is essential for promoting deep learning and conceptual mastery in mathematics education.
