A maths activity “ parallel or perpendicular faces” was conducted in class V -A Cambridge International to introduce the topic of parallel and perpendicular faces and edges of 3D shapes. The students were given nets of 3 D shapes and were asked to analyse the faces and edges when nets were folded into a shape. Students were told to stand and present their shape if it had 2 pairs of parallel faces and edges, no pair of parallel faces or more than 2 pair of parallel faces respectively. They recorded the information after the observation.Students enthusiastically participated in the hands on activity.
