National Mathematics day was organised in class III A Cambridge International , DAVPS Pushpanjali Enclave to celebrate the birthday of Shri Srinivasa Ramanujan, the great mathematical genius who made exemplary contribution to Mathematics.
The Mathematics day was celebrated with objective of creating awareness about importance of mathematics in day to day life situation and also to create students interest in studying the Mathematics.
As part of the celebrations -"Scavenger hunt " activity and talk on Mathematics were organised and conducted in the class.The students participated in the activity with great zeal and enthusiasm and enjoyed the programme.
The list of things to hunt
Find a circular object
Make a symbol on face with a lipstick
Draw a triangle on a sheet and colour it
Find something with four corners
Find something longer than your hand
Measure any object 10 cm long and show it
Find a shape that has a line of symmetry
Find a cloth having pattern
Find a number 20 written in any of the book
Find something heavier than 1 kg potatoes
Find something that is uncountable
Make a rectangle with 5 cm length and 3 cm breadth
Write your date of birth in big size on a sheet and underline the odd numbers
