Lohri was celebrated in class VA Cambridge International on 13 January 2021, with a lot of zeal and enthusiasm. The mood on the online meet was upbeat and the students were totally absorbed in the festive spirit of Lohri.
A meeting was conducted in which the students from class VA participated and showcased their marvellous oratory skills ,many students recited poems and delivered speech based on Lohri celebration. Students also sang very melodious song immersed in rich cultural folklore of Punjab and told about the significance of lohri. The students stole the show by singing the lohri boliyan in Punjabi and song ‘sunder munderiye’.To add fun, one of the student shared the story of ‘Dhulla Bhatti wala’
The Cambridge Coordinator, Ms Jyotsna Kumar joined them with the hope that the coming year would bring happiness in the lives of the students and teachers as well. She emphasized that Lohri festival prompts people to be thankful for God’s provision and also encouraged teachers to play a vital role to keep the tradition and culture alive in our festivities.
Students also participated in a New Year activity where they were asked to write "2" things they learned last year , thing they want "0" this year , "2" things they want to learn and "1 "place they wish to visit in 2021
